Job summary

Sin Thye Management Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee a dedicated estate division in Malaysia. You will plan, execute and supervise operations with minimal supervision, coordinating contractors and the workforce to meet productivity targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, at least 5 years in oil palm, strong leadership, and the ability to manage a large workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agriculture or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as Assistant Manager in the oil palm industry.
• Ability to lead a large labour force and work independently.
• Physically fit for rigorous field work and site inspections.
• Remuneration is negotiable based on experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in planning, executing and overseeing operations and general management.
• Coordinate and supervise work programs, contractors and the general workforce to meet productivity targets.
• Ensure all operating units documentations and submissions are completed accurately and on time.
• Promptly report non-compliances and operational issues to superiors.
• Ensure MSPO/RSPO compliance and lead the team accordingly.
• Prepare monthly progress reports, forecasts, budgets and ad-hoc estate updates during HQ visits.

Job description

Assist of managing a specific division or section of the estate independently with minimal supervision from the Estate Manager.

Assisting Manager to plan, execute and oversee operations and general management.

Assisting the Manager in maintaining smooth administration in line with company procedures.

Coordinate and supervise work programs, contractors and the general workforce to ensure productivity targets are met.

Ensuring all operating units documentations and submissions are completed accurately and on time.

Promptly report to superior over non-compliances, operational issues and reporting any relevant matters and issues.

Ensure full compliance and lead the team according to the principles and criteria of MSPO/RSPO.

Prepare monthly progress reports, forecast, yearly budget and ad-hoc reports including estate updates during site visits by Headquarter members.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Agriculture or related field

At least 5 years of working experience in as Assistant Manager in an oil palm industry.

Proven ability to work independently with strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage a large labour force.

Physically fit and capable of performing rigorous field work and site inspections.
