Job description
Responsibilities
  • Negotiate ocean freight rates & service contracts with shipping lines & NVOCCs.
  • Manage ocean freight matrix by updating buying rates for FCL, LCL, and special equipment cargo tradelane wise.
  • Monitor market trends and carrier capacity by trade lane to maintain competitive procurement.
  • Ensure timely renewal of contracts and monthly spot rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, co-loaders, and key box operators.
  • Evaluate carrier performance based on rates filed, space allocations and schedule reliability.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues such as space shortages, rollovers, and rate disputes.
Support to Sales & Operations
  • Provide prompt and accurate ocean freight rates to sales and CRM team.
  • Support tender submissions, RFQs, and key account pricing exercises.
  • Work closely with shipping lines to ensure smooth booking execution.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in ocean freight procurement or pricing.
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight operations, Incoterms, and international trade lanes.
