Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an MIS Reporting Analyst to maintain MIS systems, prepare timely management reports, and support cross-functional decision making. You will translate data into actionable insights and collaborate with multiple teams to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.

The role requires a quantitative degree and strong Excel/Power BI capabilities, with opportunities to contribute to annual planning and strategic initiatives in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field as listed.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, review, and enhance the MIS Systems to support reliable management reporting and analysis.
• Prepare and deliver timely management reports to Group and business/support units, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear presentation of key information.
• Coordinate and respond to management information requests from Group and business/support units, including analysis, clarification, and follow-up where required.
• Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting processes, improve data quality, and enhance stakeholder experience.
• Support and drive annual operational planning activities and related corporate initiatives.

Responsibilities

• System maintenance: Maintain, review, and enhance the MIS Systems to support reliable management reporting and analysis.
• Reporting preparation: Prepare and deliver timely management reports to Group and business/support units, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear presentation of key information.
• Business support: Coordinate and respond to management information requests from Group and business/support units, including analysis, clarification, and follow-up where required.
• Continuous improvement: Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting processes, improve data quality, and enhance stakeholder experience.
• Operational planning: Support and drive annual operational planning activities and related corporate initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI for data preparation, modelling, analysis, and reporting is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to translate data into practical insights.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to foster teamwork across internal and external groups.
