Job summary

Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad is seeking a Project Coordination & Construction Support professional to oversee M&E coordination, design input, and testing across construction stages. The role requires close collaboration with C&S, architectural, and M&E teams to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with ongoing C&S and Architectural works to ensure proper sequencing and smooth execution of construction activities.
• Resolve service clashes and coordinate all M&E systems.
• Coordinate contractor rectification of M&E related works during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).
• Provide technical input across the project life-cycle, including planning and design stages, with familiarity in M&E requirements, BOMBA compliance, and relevant authority regulations.
• Optimize consultant designs through value engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, electrical, fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Drive critical testing and commissioning (T&C) for M&E related activities to ensure all systems meet required performance standards.
• Ensure seamless post-handover operational readiness by supporting Customer Service in diagnosing complex M&E defects.
• Manage M&E related authority submissions and approvals, including Form G submissions for CCC.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management from time to time in support of business objectives.

Job description

1. Project Coordination & Construction Support

2. Design, Planning & Technical Management

• Provide technical input across the project life-cycle, including planning and design stages, with familiarity in M&E requirements, BOMBA compliance, and relevant authority regulations.
• Optimize consultant designs through value engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, electrical, fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Support the QS team in M&E related technical tender evaluations.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Quality Assurance

• Drive critical testing and commissioning (T&C) for M&E related activities to ensure all systems meet required performance standards.
• Ensure seamless post-handover operational readiness by supporting Customer Service in diagnosing complex M&E defects.

5. Authority Compliance & Approvals

• Manage M&E related authority submissions and approvals, including Form G submissions for CCC.

6. Other Duties

• Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management from time to time in support of business objectives.
