Job summary

Flex is seeking an Assistant Manager, Logistics to lead daily distribution activities in Prai, Penang, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory control. This role supports Flex’s strategic supply chain initiatives as the company spins off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into Axiom.

You will build strong relationships with internal teams and customers, drive continuous improvements in warehouse processes, and help ensure safe, compliant operations aligned with company goals.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily distribution activities: shipping, receiving, inventory control.
• Generates warehouse productivity reports covering selection rates, receiving rates, and labor hours.
• Adheres to budget requirements and works toward goal attainment.
• Ensures coordination between departments to expedite production schedules and assist planning teams.
• Maintains and improves standard logistics processes, data systems, and demand management.
• Builds and maintains relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives and issue resolution.
• Provides information and recommendations on programs or projects related to logistics and inventory management.
• Maintains warehouse safety programs and ensures compliance with OSHA regulations.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Assistant Manager, Logistics located in Prai, Penang.

Ensures the implementation of strategies, including supply chain activities to ensure the logistics function achieves its operational and organizational targets in order to create and sustain value for the business and its customers.

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs the daily activities of the distribution function, activities include shipping, receiving, inventory control, etc.
• Generates warehouse productivity reports, in regard to selection rates, receiving rates and accounts for all labor hours.
• Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining goals.
• Ensures contribution between relevant operational departments to ensure production schedules are expedited in a timely manner and that the planning team is helped with regard to work and material schedules.
• Ensures that there is continuous improvement to standard logistics process, such as replenishment, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions and all are effectively implemented as appropriate.
• Builds and maintains relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives and resolve customer / operational issues.
• Acts as escalation to senior management as appropriate.
• Ensures the team is helped with regards to material requisitioning and production planning.
• Maintains material availability to meet production schedules and/or to ensure products are shipped per customer requirements.
• Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods, and packaged according to specification.
• Ensures provision of all planning related required reporting and present reports or information to senior management as required.
• Contributes with department managers on planning related matters, to devise new strategies in relation to inventory management and distribution.
• Participates, coordinates and provides information and recommendations on various programs or projects, e.g. work simplifications, cost reductions, job training, storage area layout, plant material move routes and procedures, wage administration, communication, etc.
• Ensures the maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs.
• Recommends equipment requirements and replacements in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Ensures warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
• Implements appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• Typically requires 3-5 years of distribution, warehousing or equivalent experience.
