Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Finance professional to lead financial planning, budgeting, and analysis across the group. The role requires strong leadership and ability to drive profitability and cash flow improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting or finance, professional qualifications are a plus, with 5–8 years in finance and at least 2 years in supervision; experience in F&B, hospitality, or retail is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years of finance experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial modelling, cash flow management, and business analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in the F&B, hospitality, or retail industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyse revenue trends, labour costs, food costs, and operating expenses.
• Evaluate profitability by outlet and business unit.
• Provide financial recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor company KPIs and financial targets.
• Identify business risks and operational inefficiencies.
• Recommend strategies to improve profitability and cash flow.
• Support expansion projects and investment evaluations.
• Lead and supervise the Finance team.
• Allocate workload and monitor productivity.
• Coach and develop finance personnel.
• Conduct performance reviews and training.
• Establish and enforce finance policies and procedures.
• Strengthen internal controls and risk management practices.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the main liaison with auditors, bankers, tax agents, company secretary, and government authorities.
• Support management meetings with financial insights.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Procurement, and Warehouse teams on financial matters.
• Manage company cash flow planning.
• Monitor working capital efficiency.
• Approve payment schedules and fund allocations.
• Lead finance system enhancements and digitalisation initiatives.
• Participate in new outlet feasibility studies.
• Develop financial dashboards and management reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance Department.
