Job summary

STTGDC, a data centre solutions leader, seeks a seasoned FP&A professional to join our finance team in Malaysia. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting for data centre projects, ensuring cost controls and insightful analyses.

Responsibilities include preparing quarterly Board decks, reviewing monthly financial statements, monitoring CAPEX/OPEX, and supporting in-country FP&A initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant FP&A, financial reporting or controllership experience.

• Prepare quarterly Board presentation decks and financial analysis.
• Review monthly financial reports and statements prepared by HQ Shared Services.
• Support in-country or group’s FP&A initiatives.
• Monitor and analyse CAPEX of data centre projects.
• Track OPEX to ensure cost efficiency and budget compliance.
• Provide cost analysis to the reporting manager and support decision-making.
• Handle ad-hoc projects and reporting initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Performance & Analysis

Assist in:

• Preparing quarterly Board presentation decks and financial analysis for Board meetings;
• First cut review of monthly financial reports and financial statements prepared by the HQ Shared Services team; and
• Supporting in-country or group’s FP&A initiatives

Finance Operation, Compliance and Cost Controllership

Assist in:

• Monitoring and analysing project capital expenditures (CAPEX) of DC projects;
• Tracking and reviewing of departmental operating expenses (OPEX) to ensure cost efficiency and budget compliance;
• Providing cost analysis to the reporting manager and support business decision-making;

Others

• Any other adhoc projects and reporting initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting, Controllership, Corporate Finance, or a related finance function.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, management reporting, and financial analysis in asset management, construction or Data Centre related industries.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
• Analytical and able to perform fundamental problem-solving skills to meet job role’s objectives.
• Ability to work independently and be able to prioritize key task to meet tight deadlines
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to reporting manager and relevant departmental peers.
