Job summary

Pixlr is seeking an Assistant Manager, DevOps to lead our cloud infrastructure and DevOps operations. You will oversee cloud environments for performance, security, and scalability while guiding a skilled team toward operational excellence.

In this role you will design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible, manage AWS and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS), and mentor engineers across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure platform solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field.
• 6–9 years hands-on DevOps experience.
• Strong AWS and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) expertise.
• Proven CI/CD pipeline design and management.
• Monitoring, logging, and observability skills.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines to support efficient code integration, testing, and deployment.
• Define best practices for automated build, release, and deployment processes across development teams.
• Oversee reliable code delivery across development, staging, and production environments.
• Lead infrastructure automation using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure across AWS environments and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes - EKS/ECS).
• Continuously improve infrastructure architecture, scalability, and automation practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high platform availability and operational visibility.
• Drive performance optimisation across applications and infrastructure to support scalable SaaS environments.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
• Integrate security best practices into infrastructure design and deployment pipelines.
• Ensure infrastructure and deployment processes align with security and compliance requirements.
• Support security reviews, audits, and operational risk mitigation.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering, QA, product, and operations teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Provide DevOps expertise during system architecture discussions and technical planning.
• Promote DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and support their technical development.
• Establish standards for infrastructure documentation, deployment workflows, and operational processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and platform operations.
