Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, and M365 administration.
• Experience managing firewalls, endpoint security, and backup systems (e.g., Veeam, Azure Backup).

Responsibilities

• Manage on‑premise and cloud infrastructure (servers, networks, storage).
• Administer Microsoft 365 environment, Azure services, and user access controls.
• Implement cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery plans.
• Hands‑on helpdesk support and hardware provisioning for staff.
• Assist Site GM and HQ IT with setting up the Malaysia plant.

• Ensure data integration between Business Central, third‑party apps, and data warehouse.
• Manage relationships with external IT vendors, MSPs, software/hardware providers.

Job description

IT Assistant Manager role based at the JB Plant, responsible for managing and maintaining on-premise and cloud infrastructure, administering ERP systems, and supporting the setup of the manufacturing plant in Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure, including servers, networks (firewalls, switches, VPNs), and storage

Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, Azure services, and user access controls

Implement and monitor robust cybersecurity protocols, backup solutions, and disaster recovery plans

Perform hands-on helpdesk operations, ensuring prompt hardware provisioning and technical support for all staff

Assist Site GM and HQ IT to set up the manufacturing plant in Malaysia

Perform administration and training of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to end users

Partner with department heads to streamline business processes, map workflows, and implement system enhancements

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and data models to support corporate decision-making

Ensure seamless data integration between Business Central, third-party applications, and the data warehouse

Manage relationships with external IT vendors, MSPs, software providers, and hardware suppliers

About you

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

5+ years of experience in IT roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity

Proven experience administering and training Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Advanced proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and SQL

Strong grasp of networking, Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, and M365 administration
