Job summary

Hirehub Group in Senai, Johor, is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead daily accounting and finance operations, ensure IFRS compliance, and deliver timely financial reporting. The role requires strong familiarity with SST, Malaysian tax laws, budgeting and forecasting, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 7+ years' experience, is bilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin an advantage), and can work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in accounting/finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Malaysian tax laws, SST.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Familiarity with Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) operations preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting and finance operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports per IFRS.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure timely tax filings (SST, income tax) in Malaysia.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and authorities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.
• Review and improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
• Support ad hoc financial projects as required by management.
• Experience with FIZ operations and related tax matters preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office.
• Work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an advantage.

• Oversee daily accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in compliance with local regulations and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including SST, income tax, and other statutory requirements in Malaysia.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
