Job summary

Sunline International is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager in Malaysia to manage monthly close, financial statements, and inter-company reconciliations. You will work with Financial Managers and team to ensure accurate ledgers and compliance with IFRS/MFRS.

You will prepare management reports, assist in treasury activities, tax compliance (SST, WHT, CIT) and transfer pricing documentation, and support audits with HQ. The role requires meticulous financial reporting and strong collaboration.

Qualifications

• Accounting knowledge with IFRS/MFRS understanding.
• Experience in balance sheets, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Strong reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis skills.

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS/MFRS.
• Maintain full set of accounts, ledgers and daily financial transactions.
• Handle bank reconciliations, payments, and billing; perform SST/WHT/CIT tax compliance.

Job description

Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks, including financial documents, payments, billings, bank reconciliations etc.

Maintain full set of accounts, company ledgers and daily financial transactions accurately in compliance situations. Conduct balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations.

Create reports for management and team members. Handle monthly financial close activities under the assistance of the Accounts Manager for Local Book.

Collaborate with Financial Managers to create the management worksheets, including Manpower-Outsource accumulated income, maintenance, license contracts etc., to ensure the local data accuracy

Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS/MFRS. Handle the tax compliance work, including SST, WHT, CIT, tax audit etc.

Assist in treasury management: monitor cash flow, compile weekly and monthly cash reports, prepare cash plans and forecasts to ensure a stable and secure cash flow.

Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation. Liaise with Auditor and tax agent.

Ad-hoc tasks assigned by HQ.
