Job summary

Sinergia Talents is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Leader to oversee the repair and maintenance of plant equipment and assets, ensuring reliability and longevity while controlling costs and maintaining a safe, compliant environment.

The successful candidate will develop maintenance strategies, lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with contractors, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in equipment efficiency and safety compliance across the facility in Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master in Engineering from an accredited college or university; other disciplines may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with equipment repairs and maintenance plus 3 years in managerial role.
• Extensive cross-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.
• This position requires a high degree of analytical skills to identify opportunities for equipment efficiency improvements
• Proficiency in budget management, planning, and scheduling of maintenance activities
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Ability to coach/mentor/lead subordinates
• Working knowledge of standards safety and environmental standards, such as ISO 13849-1, UL, etc

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategy to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of all assets, including equipment and machinery
• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and staffs. This includes recruiting, training, and performance management
• Oversee repairs, maintenance, and upgrades of equipment. Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when necessary
• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, allocating resources effectively and monitoring costs
• Maintain an inventory of equipment, machinery, and spare parts, ensuring they are in good condition and readily available when needed
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and plans to ensure regular equipment upkeep. Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruption to operations
• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment
• Manage the operations of build shop and ensuring cost-effective use of resources
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and relevant reports to comply with audit requirements
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost saving initiatives (CSP) in the maintenance processes
• Provide regular reports and analytics on the availability of equipment, including key performance indicators and continuous improvement of equipment
