Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager in Kulim, Malaysia to support cost management for large-scale advanced manufacturing and high-tech facility projects. You will assist with cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

This role provides exposure to complex facilities, mission-critical environments, and fast-track construction, working with seasoned cost and project management teams in a global professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or commercial management roles.
• Experience supporting construction projects involving CSA and/or MEP works.
• Exposure to advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre, or mission-critical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting across project lifecycle.
• Support cost benchmarking, take-offs, value engineering, and cost optimization.
• Prepare tender documentation and procurement packages for MEP works; assist in tender evaluations.
• Manage variations, change orders, contractor claims, and final accounts.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial updates; track budgets.
