Job summary

Takeda Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur hosts an Assistant Controller for the North Asia & Oceania cluster. You will link markets with the Global Finance CoE and support the month-end, balance sheet reviews, and IFRS and local GAAP reporting across multiple entities in the region.

This role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of controllership experience and professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field with 5+ years controllership experience.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred or in progress.
• IFRS and local GAAP review capability across multiple entities.
• Hands-on general ledger, month-end close and balance sheet review experience.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close with accurate GL accounting.
• Prepare balance sheet review (BSR) and commentary for assigned entities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for controller approval.
• Coordinate audits and ensure SOX/tax/compliance readiness.
• Act as liaison between markets and Global Finance CoE for issue resolution.
