Chroma Gas Sdn Bhd in Nilai, Malaysia, is seeking a capable analytical laboratory professional to schedule sample throughput, monitor work in progress, and prioritize analyses according to customer needs and laboratory capability. You will ensure work is performed timely while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.
This role requires a degree in chemistry or a related field, with at least 1 year of lab experience.
This role involves scheduling sample throughput, monitoring work in progress, and prioritizing sample analysis based on customer requirements and laboratory capability. You will ensure work is performed in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management systems.
Key responsibilitiesSchedule sample throughput, monitor work in progress, and prioritize sample analysis based on customer requirements and laboratory capability
Monitor and ensure that the quality management system as per ISO/IEC 17025 is implemented accordingly
Report any sample violations to the Senior Chemist or Laboratory Manager and carry out necessary actions before reporting results
Ensure qualification, maintenance, and calibration of equipment as per standard operating procedure
Review and verify work affecting the results of laboratory activities
Perform instrumental and non-instrumental analysis using procedures described in the Analytical Methods
Prepare samples and reagents using documented procedures
Carry out quality control procedures and recognize when data is unacceptable
Interpret data, calculate and validate results to ensure accuracy before reporting
Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of instruments and maintain documentation
About youDegree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in analytical laboratory work will be an added advantage.
Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of applicable analytical procedures, test methods, standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of quality control practices in analytical chemistry.
Good understanding of laboratory hazards, chemical handling, and safety practices.
Able to assist in planning and scheduling laboratory testing activities.
Disciplined in following SOPs, test methods, documentation, and laboratory procedures.
Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
Responsible, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Fresh graduates with relevant laboratory knowledge or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
