Job summary

HR Swift Advisory seeks an Assistant Audit Manager in Malaysia to lead audit engagements and guide junior team members while delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to clients. You will oversee planning, execution, and completion of engagements, review working papers, and ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, MPERS and auditing standards.

Strong leadership and client-relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and relevant auditing standards.
• Proven ability to lead audit engagements independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of clients’ business models, industry landscape, and key risk areas, providing valuable insights to management and clients.
• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements in accordance with approved standards and timelines.
• Supervise, review, and guide audit seniors and associates to ensure quality and efficiency of work performed.
• Manage client relationships, liaise with key stakeholders, and resolve audit issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and relevant auditing standards.
• Oversee multiple engagements concurrently, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ad-hoc assignments when required.

• Strong technical knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and relevant auditing standards.
• Proven ability to lead audit engagements independently.
• People management experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
