Job summary

Asia Marine Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified accountant to support financial reporting, tax compliance, and SST processes. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 4–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an accounting firm.

Proficiency in English, with Mandarin as an optional asset, and familiarity with ERP systems. You will record journal entries, assist with closing, AR/AP, and prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards, while

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• English communication; Mandarin (optional).
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or auditing; experience in an accounting firm is a plus.
• Good understanding of financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Familiar with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and willing to learn and grow.
• Possess working experience and familiarity with SST compliance.

Responsibilities

• Accounting (General Duties): Help record manual journal entries, including depreciation and other adjustments. Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing to make sure everything is accurate and on time.
• Balance Sheet Review: Help with inventory reconciliation, and support aging analysis and reconciliation for AR (accounts receivable) and AP (accounts payable).
• Tax: Assist in reviewing and preparing tax documents. Work with external tax consultants to ensure tax filings are done correctly and on time, and maintain proper tax records.
• Deal with SST independently
• Financial Reports: Help prepare financial statements according to the required accounting standards, and ensure proper record keeping.
• Audit Support: Provide documents and information needed during internal or external audits.
• Compliance: Follow existing accounting and tax SOPs, and help improve them when needed.
• ERP Data Accuracy: Ensure correct data entry and help maintain data accuracy in the ERP system.
