Job summary

Whale Emerald Sdn Bhd in Ipoh is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting.

You will prepare financial statements, maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and Malaysian tax regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 6 years of accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. You will work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations of the company.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
