Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking an OSAT Assembly Senior Engineer in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this role, you will oversee the backend semiconductor manufacturing processes and act as a primary technical interface between Renesas and OSATs.

You will collaborate with OSATs to ensure quality and cost performance, implement process changes, and develop new packages/products. A degree in Engineering or Science is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Semiconductor Manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Assembly, NPI, and 6 Sigma is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in project or program management will be good to have.

Job description

OSAT Assembly Senior Engineer oversees the backend semiconductor manufacturing processes and activities at the OSATs. Acts as a primary technical interface between Renesas and OSATs.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OSATs to ensure good yield, quality, delivery and cost performance and drive improvement activities to meet KPI.
• Implement process and materials changes at the OSATs and run qualification activities to qualify these changes.
• Develop and/or assist NPI to release new packages/products at OSATs and ensure seamless transition to production.
• Monitor OSAT performance and lead investigations on any issues related to the OSATs.
• Coordinate failure analysis activities and address the root cause together with OSATs and QA.
• Provide suggestions and ideas to improve work processes at Renesas.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science or Mathematics
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing environment
• Added advantage for candidates with experience in Assembly, NPI and 6 Sigma
• Knowledge in project or program management will be good to have
