Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation Malaysia is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support semiconductor assembly tools, aiming for high machine stability, reliability and OEE performance. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, stability, troubleshooting, automation, digitalization, and CI initiatives to maximize production efficiency and manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics/ Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering or maintenance is an advantage; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and automation systems; understanding of OEE, preventive maintenance and problem-solving methodologies; exposure to PLC, robotics, machine vision, Python, Power BI, VBA or RPA tools is a plus.

• Maintain and improve equipment stability, uptime and reliability to meet production targets.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis on equipment issues.
• Monitor and improve OEE performance through data analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify and implement automation, digitalization and RPA solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, maintenance and technical documentation and engineering projects.
• Collaborate with Production, Process and Quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Job Summary

Support semiconductor assembly equipment to achieve high machine stability, reliability and OEE performance. Qualifications

• Education background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics/ Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering or maintenance is an advantage. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and automation systems. Understanding of OEE, preventive maintenance and problem-solving methodologies. Exposure to PLC, robotics, machine vision, Python, Power BI, VBA or RPA tools is an added advantage.
• Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Passion for automation, Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing. Proactive, hands-on, good communication and teamwork skills.
