Job summary

AXA XL in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Claims Operations Analyst to support regional and country teams in delivering top-tier claims services across Asia. You will focus on resource allocation, data-driven reporting, and leading transformational projects to drive improvements and growth.

The role collaborates with finance, underwriting, and regional claims leaders to optimize portfolios and operational standards, while ensuring robust processes and training materials are in place.

Qualifications

• Diploma and/or relevant insurance qualifications preferred.
• Equipped with related claims recoveries experience will be desirable
• Sound knowledge of key product line(s) and regulatory environment
• Up to date appreciation of the technical requirements of the role
• Proven ability in identifying and analysing problems, creating good solutions
• Proven track record of providing first class customer service internally/externally
• Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally
• Report writing skills, ability to develop and present ideas clearly
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Excel (including macros), Outlook, Word, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with country claims management teams to drive superior service delivery.
• Develop and maintain timely, high-quality reporting and data for strategic decision-making.
• Lead transformational initiatives to support business growth and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and improve operational processes, including risk identification and QA.
• Develop robust business readiness, communication strategies, and training materials.
• Deliver rapid cycle changes within tight timeframes for the Asia region.
• Provide updates on claims portfolio metrics, KPIs, and MI.
• Support claims team with operational and data requirements for seamless handling.
• Ensure claims handlers follow updated guidelines and principles.
• Manage audits, data requests, and related claims information.
• Produce portfolio reports including loss trends and NatCat data.
• Collaborate with finance, middle office, and underwriting on claims needs.
• Monitor internal claims projects with Head of Claims Singapore and Hong Kong.
• Contribute to market engagement activities and seminars.
