Job summary

Electronic Arts is seeking an exceptional Art Director to redefine the visual identity of our game UI and creator tools. You will audit the current interface, craft a bold visual language, and collaborate across design, engineering, and product to deliver premium, AAA-level aesthetics.

You will build a master style guide and lead the visual overhaul, establishing motion language and pixel-perfect fidelity across 2D and 3D worlds in a hybrid Kuala Lumpur environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional artistic leadership in games or creator software.
• Strong portfolio showing visual taste, typography, color, and motion design.
• Proven track record of creating or overhauling a visual style from scratch or leading a major overhaul.
• Knowledge of global gaming and web-creator aesthetic trends.
• Mastery of modern design and motion tools (Figma, Adobe CC, After Effects).
• Familiarity with real-time engine rendering (Unreal or Unity).

Responsibilities

• Aesthetic Overhaul and Vision: audit current interface aesthetic and define a visual makeover strategy.
• Establish the Visual Language: author the master style guide from scratch (color, typography, icons).
• Define Motion and "Juice": set the standard for motion, transitions, feedback, and micro-animations.
• High-Fidelity Visual Targets: create concept art, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Harmonize 2D and 3D Worlds: ensure UI aesthetics align with 3D environments and lighting.
• Cross-Discipline Influence: act as aesthetic authority for UI across the studio, collaborating with engineers.
