Job summary

MR D.I.Y. Malaysia is seeking a Senior Retail Area Manager to lead and grow sales across the Klang Valley and other states. You will own the regional strategy and drive profitability for all stores in your area.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, managing inventory, hiring and coaching store managers, ensuring compliance with policies, and collaborating with marketing, finance, and operations to fuel rapid expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ retail management experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.

Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and profitability in all stores within the assigned area

Monitor store performance and conduct regular store visits to ensure that all stores are meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets

Ensure that all stores are operating within company policies and procedures and are in compliance with local laws and regulations

Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that stores have sufficient stock levels to meet customer demand

Hire, train, and manage the performance of store managers and staff within the assigned area

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to store managers and staff to improve performance and address any issues

Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the assigned area and work with senior management to develop and implement plans to capitalize on these opportunities

Ensure that all stores maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and resolving any customer issues in a timely and professional manner

Collaborate with other departments within the company, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure that all stores are aligned with company goals and objectives

Key Qualifications and Requirements
