Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Malaysia seeks an Area Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee activities across multiple warehousing sites, aligning with financial and operational objectives and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

You will lead site management, drive customer onboarding, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while ensuring sites meet productivity targets and contribute to tender and proposal efforts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of operational experience managing multiple warehouse sites in a fast-paced 3PL environment.
• Proven leadership to motivate and develop large, diverse teams.
• Accountability for P&L and budget adherence.
• Strong understanding of WMS and warehouse processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational activities across multiple warehousing sites to meet financial and operational objectives.
• Ensure site teams achieve customer-, site-, and people KPIs.
• Act as Site Manager for locations within scope when required.
• Drive customer onboarding, operational excellence, and retention in collaboration with peers.
• Drive productivity through engagement and continuous improvement initiatives; meet productivity targets.
• Contribute information for tenders and proposals to help close new business.

As an Area Warehouse Operations Manager at Kuehne+Nagel, your primary objective will be to oversee all operational activities across specified warehousing sites in order to achieve all agreed financial and operational objectives. You will do this by working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

How you create impact

• Your primary objective will be to oversee all operational activities across specified warehousing sites in order to achieve all agreed financial and operational objectives. You will do this by working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The activities needed to deliver these objectives include:
• To ensure your site management teams deliver against their customer, site and people key performance indicators (KPI).
• To act as the Site Manager for locations within your scope as and when required.
• To drive all activities relating to customer on-boarding, operational excellence, and customer retention in collaboration with your center of excellence peers and teams.
• To drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, ensuring all sites meet or exceed their productivity targets.
• To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.

• Accountability for profit and loss (P&L) management.
