Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Application Support Manager to lead a skilled team and partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. You will ensure performance, security, and compliance, manage incidents and changes, drive continuous improvement, coordinate with vendors, and oversee timelines and budgets while providing after-hours support.

The role requires 5+ years in application support, leadership experience, and strong skills in Java/.NET/Python with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application support.
• Proven experience in leadership or team management.
• Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge in programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python).
• Experience with databases is a must (Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong ownership and teamwork when come to after-hours support.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of application support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes
• Drive continuous improvement and system optimization initiatives
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers when required
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Act as a key person to in DR activities including planning, execution, and communication to relevant stakeholders.
