Job summary

HTC Global Services MSC Sdn Bhd is seeking an Application Support Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise applications for optimal performance and reliability. You will monitor, investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development and IT teams to implement robust fixes and improvements.

The role requires a strong ITIL background, SQL proficiency with Oracle/MySQL, and experience in Linux/Unix, scripting (Shell/Python), and Agile methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, deployment methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL with Oracle and MySQL.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Python).
• Familiarity with ITIL Incident, Problem, Change Management.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Knowledge of Java/.NET applications and middleware technologies.
• Understanding of API integrations and web services.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support enterprise applications to ensure high availability.
• Investigate and resolve incidents within SLAs.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with development teams for bug fixes and deployments.
• Manage configurations, patches, and upgrades in production and non-production.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Provide on-call support and participate in incident management during outages.
