Job summary

GREEN EXCEL ENGINEERING AND CONSULTANCY SDN BHD is seeking an Application Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. You will work with the Business Development teams to craft technical solutions, support project delivery, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and contribute to our continued growth.

You will review tender documents, estimations, and drawings, and provide technical support throughout pre-award and project execution phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Building Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant construction/building materials experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; able to read architectural/construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, specs and technical drawings.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material estimations from project drawings.
• Source and evaluate supplier quotations and pricing.
• Prepare cost estimations and provide quotation support to Sales.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections and measurements when required.
• Coordinate shop drawings with relevant parties and review as needed.
• Provide technical support in pre-award and project execution stages.
• Ensure site compliance with project specifications and requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and provide product application support for cleanroom systems.

Job description

We're growing and looking for a motivated Application Engineer to join our team. You'll work alongside our Business Development teams to prepare technical solutions, support project delivery, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and contribute to our continued business growth.

Job Responsibilities

Review tender documents, specifications, and technical drawings.

Perform quantity take-offs (BQ) and material estimations based on project drawings.

Source and evaluate supplier quotations and pricing.

Prepare cost estimations and provide quotation support to the Sales team.

Conduct site surveys, inspections, and measurements when required.

Prepare, review, or coordinate shop drawings with relevant parties.

Provide technical support throughout the pre-award and project execution stages.

Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and technical requirements.

Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, consultants, architects, and the internal Sales team to ensure smooth project delivery.

Assist in resolving technical issues and provide product application support for cleanroom architectural systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant working experience in the construction or building materials industry will be an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.

Able to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese (spoken and written) to liaise with customers, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.

Willing to travel and conduct outstation site visits when required.

Possess a valid Class D driving license and own transport (preferred).
