Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking engineers with strong cleanroom and M&E installation experience to lead planning and execution of complex projects on-site. The role emphasizes design coordination, cost control, and cross-functional collaboration with consultants and contractors.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree and 3–5 years in cleanroom environments, with proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and BIM advantageous. Willingness to travel and detailed safety knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience in the cleanroom and M&E industry.
• Hands-on experience in implementing and delivering cleanroom and M&E installation projects is mandatory.
• Candidates with cleanroom design experience will be given priority.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• BIM knowledge and experience will be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel and be stationed on-site when required.
• Possess a valid CIDB Green Card with basic safety knowledge.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized with good project coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, design coordination, contract execution, construction management, and project handover.
• Manage EPC, design-build, or construction management projects effectively.
• Monitor project cost control, budgeting, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate project activities to ensure work is completed according to schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide technical support throughout design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering works covering HVAC, cleanroom systems, electrical & mechanical services, plumbing and sanitary, fire protection, ELV, BMS, and process utilities.
• Manage TAB, system performance testing, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ where applicable.
• Verify MEP and cleanroom systems meet environmental performance requirements.

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead project planning, design coordination, contract execution, construction management, and project handover.
• Manage EPC, design-build, or construction management projects effectively.
• Monitor project cost control, budgeting, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate project activities to ensure work is completed according to schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Technical & Systems Management

• Provide technical support throughout the design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering works covering HVAC, cleanroom systems, electrical and mechanical services, plumbing and sanitary, fire protection, ELV, BMS, and process utilities.
• Manage Testing & Balancing (TAB), system performance testing, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation activities including *IQ/OQ/PQ* where applicable.
• Verify MEP and cleanroom systems meet required environmental performance, including cleanroom classification, differential pressure, temperature, humidity, airflow rate, and enclosure air-tightness.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, method statements, and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with relevant parties to implement effective solutions.

Stakeholder & Technical Coordination

• Liaise with authorities, consultants, system owners, clients, and technical stakeholders to resolve project-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, DOSH requirements, EHS standards, and cleanroom protocols.
• Attend commercial, design, technical, internal, and site meetings as the company representative.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure all technical and construction requirements are properly implemented.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and relevant technical documentation.
