Job summary

EdgeConneX is seeking a Security Systems & Technology Engineer to operate, maintain, and upgrade critical security platforms across multi-site data centers. You will work with Security Operations, IT, and vendors to ensure health, standardization, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 4+ years operating enterprise physical security systems.
• Experience delivering upgrades or new-site commissioning.
• Familiarity with LenelS2/OnGuard, Genetec, and CCTV platforms.
• Knowledge of encryption standards and open protocols such as DESFire, ONVIF, OSDP.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and support physical security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter systems.
• Coordinate with IT for networking and cybersecurity hardening of security systems.
• Perform system administration, configuration, updates, health monitoring, and user credential management.
• Deliver upgrades, migrations, and rebuilds under the global security systems roadmap.
• Troubleshoot faults to root cause and coordinate vendors for on-site actions.
• Assist audits and evidence collection; ensure standards and runbooks are followed.
