Job summary

Michael Page International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Regional Logistics Category Manager (APAC) to lead logistics sourcing strategies across APAC, manage key supplier relationships and deliver commercial value through strategic procurement initiatives.

You will develop regional category strategies, lead RFx activities, negotiate with suppliers and manage freight, shipping, warehousing, 3PL and 4PL providers, while partnering with stakeholders across multiple countries in the APAC region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
• Strong ownership of RFx processes, tender management, and supplier negotiations.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering cost savings and commercial value.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding, shipping, warehousing, 3PL and 4PL categories.
• Regional APAC sourcing experience across multiple countries, including Australia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Korea.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective sourcing and procurement strategies.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills.
• Exposure to SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar procurement platforms is advantageous.
• Candidates from freight forwarders, shipping lines, industrial manufacturing, building materials, or logistics-intensive environments are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional logistics sourcing and category strategies across APAC.
• Lead RFx activities, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management.
• Manage logistics providers across freight, shipping, warehousing, 3PL and 4PL categories.
• Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, and sourcing excellence initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into sourcing solutions.
• Support procurement process improvements, governance, and best practices across the region.
