Job summary

HSBC is seeking a seasoned leader to manage Issuer Services Operations in Kuala Lumpur for the APAC region. You will oversee loan agency functions, build scalable processes, and lead a team of 10–20 staff, ensuring SLAs and regulatory requirements are met.

The role emphasizes process improvements, effective governance, and collaboration with global partners. A university degree and substantial securities industry experience are required in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent practical experience. Financial/business management background preferred.
• Extensive experience in securities industry with cross-border exposure.
• Proven ability to manage medium to large teams and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Issuer Services Operations in Kuala Lumpur for APAC, providing operational support within Global Service Centre framework.
• Build and maintain scalable end-to-end Issuer Services processes to support business objectives.
• Manage 10–20 staff offshore in Kuala Lumpur and ensure SLA and regulatory compliance.
• Lead governance across offshored loan functions and drive efficiency through system upgrades.
• Implement risk management and controls to prevent operational losses and regulatory breaches.
• Foster global and regional collaboration with partners across Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.
