Job summary

Vantage is seeking an experienced Director of Energy & Power Origination to lead the development and execution of the company’s power strategy across Malaysia and APAC. You will originate, negotiate and secure power solutions for current and future data center developments, engaging with TNB, regulators and other key market participants.

The role requires a deep understanding of Malaysia’s electricity market, a strong commercial mindset, and a track record of delivering long-term power capacity

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in power markets, utilities, energy infrastructure or related sectors.
• Proven track record originating and negotiating complex energy transactions including utility supply agreements and renewables.
• Experience working with major energy market participants and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Vantage's long-term power and energy strategy for Malaysia and APAC.
• Originate and secure power opportunities including renewables, PPAs, utility supply agreements and energy storage.
• Lead negotiations with utilities, regulators, and IPPs to secure capacity for data center campuses.
• Oversee utility connection, energization and power delivery across multiple projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align energy strategy with growth objectives and customer commitments.
