Job summary

Vantage is seeking an experienced Director of Energy & Power Origination to lead the development and execution of the company's power strategy across Malaysia and APAC. This role will secure energy infrastructure and power availability to support data center growth, working with TNB, regulators and other market participants.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in power markets, utilities, energy infrastructure, renewable energy, energy origination or related sectors.
• Deep understanding of Malaysia's electricity market, utility framework and regulatory environment.
• Proven track record originating and negotiating complex energy transactions, including utility supply agreements and renewable procurement arrangements.
• Experience working with TNB, regulators and major energy market participants.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Ability to influence senior executives, external stakeholders and strategic partners.
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, industrial or data center developments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term power and energy strategy for Malaysia and APAC markets to secure scalable capacity.
• Origin, negotiate and secure power opportunities for current and future campuses.
• Lead negotiations for renewable energy procurement, corporate PPAs and utility agreements.
• Oversee utility connection, energization and power delivery across projects.
• Ensure power infrastructure is delivered on schedule and handover to operations.
