Job summary

EdirectInsure Group in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Partnerships Manager to accelerate growth by maintaining strategic carrier partnerships across APAC and shaping innovative protection and insurance solutions.

You will collaborate with Legal, Product and Distribution teams, negotiate commercial structures with insurers and reinsurers, and develop P&L projections to support decision-making. The role demands strong relationship building, adaptability, and results-driven leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, partnership management, business development, product development, or related fields.
• Experience with insurers, reinsurers, carriers, brokers, or other financial services partners.
• Experience in negotiating commercial agreements, partnership arrangements, and reinsurance structures is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of insurance distribution channels, including bancassurance, digital partnerships, affinity programs, and embedded insurance solutions is an advantage.
• Ability to develop and assess business cases and profit and loss (P&L) projections to support commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carrier partnerships across assigned APAC markets to support strategic business growth.
• Collaborate with carrier partners to develop and enhance products for distribution channels.
• Negotiate commercial structures with insurers and reinsurers to achieve business and profitability objectives.
• Develop a strong understanding of carrier underwriting risk appetite and preferences and effectively represent these insights to internal stakeholders.
• Partner closely with Legal, Product, and Distribution teams to deliver successful client and business outcomes.
• Prepare projected profit and loss (P&L) statements for carrier partners to support business decision-making.
• Monitor, track, manage carrier onboarding and project launch checklists to ensure timely and successful implementation.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage project and carrier documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
• Support carrier treaty renewal processes, including coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Develop and deliver presentation materials for internal governance forums, business reviews, client pitches, and partner meetings
