Job summary

ACCORD INNOVATIONS SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Android developer to build and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

You will implement MVVM, UDF, and Modular Architecture, write unit/integration/UI tests, diagnose crashes, and collaborate with QA, product teams and stakeholders to improve stability and performance. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to release activities, helping establish engineering best practices

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Android development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose
• Knowledge of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, UDF, Modular)
• Experience with Unit, Integration, and UI automated testing for Android
• Experience with crash investigation and debugging

The role focuses on developing and maintaining native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, following modern Android architecture and engineering practices. The candidate will also be responsible for automated testing, production defect troubleshooting, debugging, and crash investigation.

Key responsibilities

Build and maintain Android application features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable native Android applications.

Implement modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, Unidirectional Data Flow (UDF), and Modular Architecture.

Develop and maintain unit, integration, and UI automated tests.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex production defects.

Perform crash investigation, debugging, and root-cause analysis.

Participate in application maintenance, enhancement, testing, and release activities.

Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Contribute to improving application stability, performance, and overall quality.

About you

4+ years of relevant experience in Android development.

Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin.

Strong experience with Jetpack Compose.

Good knowledge of Android architecture patterns, including MVVM, UDF, or Modular Architecture.

Experience with Unit, Integration, and UI automated testing for Android applications.

Hands-on experience with crash investigation and debugging.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
