Mercedes-Benz Tech Malaysia (MBTMY) is seeking an experienced Senior Android App Developer to contribute to a modern Android SDK and application ecosystem. You will design and implement Kotlin-based solutions, with Jetpack Compose and Clean Architecture across data, domain and UI layers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Android development experience is required.
• Strong Kotlin experience.
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines, Flow and StateFlow.
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose for UI.
• Experience in Android SDK or library development.
• Understanding of API design and backward compatibility.

• Design, develop, maintain and enhance Android applications and SDK components.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android App Developer to contribute to a modern Android SDK and
application ecosystem. The role requires deep Kotlin expertise, Jetpack Compose, Clean Architecture, library development, modular build management, and disciplined testing and code-quality practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of relevant Android development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kotlin.
• Deep experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow and StateFlow.
• Strong experience developing Android user interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience building or maintaining custom design‑system components.
• Strong understanding of Clean Architecture.
• Experience implementing data, domain and presentation layers, including DTO to Domain to UiState mapping.
• Experience in Android SDK or library development.
• Understanding of API design, backward compatibility, versioning and Maven/Artifactory publishing.
• Experience with Koin or transferable dependency‑injection frameworks.
• Experience with Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Strong Gradle knowledge covering multi‑module builds, product flavors, buildSrc, version catalogs and BOMs.
• Strong software-testing discipline and unit-test-driven workflows.
