Job summary

Carsome is seeking an Analytics Engineer who can move between building data infrastructure and delivering business insights, helping modernize our data warehouse and reporting ecosystem across staging-to-mart modeling, dashboards, and cross-functional analysis.

You will design scalable data models, develop pipelines, and create self-serve dashboards using Looker, Tableau, or Power BI; collaborate with data engineering, product, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable

Qualifications

Carsome is looking for an Analytics Engineer who can move comfortably between building data infrastructure and delivering business insights. This role will help modernize our data warehouse and reporting ecosystem, working across staging-to-mart data modeling, dashboarding, and cross-functional analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Data Modeling & Pipeline Development - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and curated datasets, restructuring pipelines from staging to mart within a modern data warehouse environment.
• Reporting & Dashboards - Build and maintain dashboards, semantic models, and self-serve reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) that give stakeholders clear visibility into key metrics.
• Analysis, Insights & Cross-functional Enablement - Conduct ad hoc and recurring analyses to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and surface actionable recommendations; partner with data engineering, business, product, and data science teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, align metric definitions, and support self-service analytics.

About you

• 1-4 years of experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or a related field, with a track record spanning both analytical and technical work.
• Experience rebuilding or restructuring datasets following a staging-to-mart warehousing approach (e.g. using dbt or similar tools) is a plus.
• Proficiency with a BI/visualization tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, along with working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
• Good business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous questions into structured analysis for non-technical stakeholders, is preferred.
