Job summary

Bell Ward in Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer to join our semiconductor-focused team, specializing in analog IC applications, test and PCB design/debugging.

You will design and debug test PCBs, develop C/Python test scripts, run chip performance tests, and support customers with technical guidance and documentation. The role requires collaboration with R&D and Sales to optimize solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics or related field.
• 3+ years in Analog IC AE/FAE, IC Testing, or related roles; outstanding fresh graduates may also be considered.
• Strong understanding of analog ICs and common application issues.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, power supplies, and chip testing.
• Proficient in C or Python; familiar with Altium Designer, KiCad, and EDA tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and debug test PCBs for analog signal-chain products (op-amps, ADC/DAC) and power-management products (DC/DC, LDO).
• Develop C/Python test programs and conduct chip performance testing across various application scenarios.
• Prepare test reports, product specifications, application manuals, and test guides.
• Provide customer technical support, troubleshoot application issues, and optimize customer solutions.
• Conduct preliminary failure analysis, work with R&D to identify root causes, and support product improvement.
• Provide pre-sales technical support in collaboration with the Sales team.
