Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
AMR Software Engineer role focusing on ROS/ROS2, SLAM-related tasks, and industrial protocols for AMRs in semiconductor cleanrooms. You will implement application-layer software, state machines, and UI/diagnostic tools for FAE field teams.
Responsibilities include ROS/ROS2 code for work order processing, docking, and motion execution, plus interfaces to RMS/MCS/MES/WMS via VDA5050, RESTful API, WebSocket, and MQTT, with integration of doors, elevators, PLCs, and E84 sensors.
Responsible for AMR application-layer software development, state machine business logic, industrial communication protocols (E84, Modbus, SECS-GEM), scheduling system interfaces, and creating UI/diagnostic tools for FAE field teams.
Key responsibilities
Write and maintain ROS/ROS2 or proprietary robot framework code for work order processing, station docking, error recovery, safety state machines, and precise motion execution in semiconductor cleanrooms
Develop interfaces between AMRs and upper-level systems (RMS/MCS, MES/WMS) via VDA5050, RESTful API, WebSocket, MQTT, and integrate peripherals like automatic doors, elevators, PLCs, and E84 optical sensors
Create UI tools for field mapping, calibration, parameter configuration, and diagnostics; establish structured log outputs and FAE training guides
Support FAEs on deep-level bug resolution (software crashes, protocol drops, state machine deadlocks) and participate in proof-of-concept (POC) site commissioning
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Automation, Robotics Engineering, or related fields
3+ years of software development experience in robotics or industrial automation
Proficient in C++ or Python, Linux environments, Git, CMake, Docker, ROS/ROS2 architecture (Topics, Services, Actions, TF frames)
Familiar with TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT, Modbus; knowledge of VDA 5050, SEMI E84, SECS-GEM, or SLAM/path planning algorithms is a major plus
Business travel to the R&D center and customers in China, India, and other designated regions is a must for this role. The travel frequency will depend on project requirements.
