Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Sepang is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation and presentation.

Requirements: at least SPM/O Level, 1 year kitchen experience; fresh graduates encouraged. Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, assisting with stock, ensuring prep per menu, and collaborating with front-of-house.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/"O" Level/ Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, any field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 1 year working experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure that the food is presented in a well and appetizing manner
• To prepare the ingredients to be used according to the menu items set
• To assist in stock control of food and beverage
• To check and monitor and ensure that the food counter all is well stocked at all service times
• Follow the food handling procedures as per the SOP
• To keep the working area clean and the cleanliness and hygienic practices in food preparation.
• To work with the front-of-house team in development, implementation, maintenance and improvements of the quality management system.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisors from time to time.
