Job summary

Century Software (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd invites a passionate AI Team Lead to drive AI adoption, automation, and digital transformation across the organisation in Petaling Jaya. Lead a team of AI Engineers, design AI roadmaps, deploy AI-powered solutions using Claude AI, AWS, LangChain, and LlamaIndex, and collaborate with government clients to deliver high-impact automation.

You will ensure security, governance, and performance standards while mentoring the team and translating complex requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in AI, CS, SE, IT or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLMs for enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with LangChain and LlamaIndex for internal tools and product enhancements.
• Experience with vector databases, knowledge bases and RAG architecture.
• Experience integrating Claude AI/Anthropic models and AWS cloud services.
• Understanding of semantic search and production-ready AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of AI Engineers for technical excellence and project delivery.
• Develop and execute AI roadmaps, strategies, and resource plans.

We are looking for a passionate, technically strong, and forward-thinking AI Team Lead to drive AI adoption, automation, and digital transformation across our organisation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking AI Team Lead to spearhead AI development, intelligent automation, and digital transformation initiatives across our organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Claude AI, AWS cloud technologies, and AI engineering frameworks, combined with the leadership capabilities to build scalable enterprise AI solutions.

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AI Engineers, ensuring technical excellence and effective project delivery.
• Develop and execute AI roadmaps, implementation strategies, and resource plans aligned with business objectives.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using Claude AI, AWS, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and related technologies.
• Build internal AI workflow automation tools and enhance existing products with AI capabilities.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, integrating Vector Databases and Knowledge Bases for enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, internal operations teams, and government clients to translate complex requirements into practical AI solutions.
• Oversee AI project delivery, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and technical quality assurance.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through AI integration and business process automation.
• Conduct AI awareness programmes, technical workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote AI adoption.
• Establish best practices for AI architecture, security, governance, performance optimisation, and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and enterprise AI application development.
• Proficiency in AI engineering frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex for developing internal workflow tools and product enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of Vector Databases, Knowledge Bases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with Claude AI / Anthropic models and AWS cloud services.
• Expertise in semantic search, contextual AI models, and enterprise knowledge retrieval.
• Ability to ensure AI solutions meet GRP/ERP database security requirements, stringent production environment controls, and performance standards.
• Experience in AI system architecture, API integrations, deployment, and performance optimisation.

Leadership & Project Management

• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of AI Engineers.
• Strong capability to bridge communication gaps between non-technical stakeholders and technical development teams.
• Ability to translate complex internal business and government client requirements into high-impact AI automation use cases.
• Experience managing AI engineering resources, assigning responsibilities, reviewing technical deliverables, and monitoring project progress.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to balance technical execution, strategic planning, and business priorities.
