Job summary

Artefact is seeking an AI/ML Engineer - Consultant to bridge strategy and technical execution for global clients. You will lead end-to-end AI initiatives from rapid PoCs to production-ready systems, balancing business impact with engineering excellence.

In this builder-first, consultant-second role, you’ll design scalable architectures on cloud platforms, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with data scientists and strategy consultants to deliver pragmatic AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Software Engineering, Data Science, or AI/ML development.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; Java, C++, or Node.js a plus.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or HuggingFace.
• Hands-on with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, vector embeddings.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Data engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines and SQL/NoSQL/Graph databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy AI solutions tailored to client needs.
• Act as a technical advisor translating business requirements into architectures.
• Build PoCs and transition to production with security and performance in mind.
• Design AI infrastructure using cloud-native services and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, PMs, and strategy consultants.
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and MLOps.
