Job summary

techstreet is seeking an AI/ML Computer Vision Engineer for a local Malaysian market on a 1-year renewable contract. You will develop and refine CV/ML models, implement object detection for images and video, and handle image processing with OpenCV in a Linux environment.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Python and C++ skills, and familiarity with YOLO, Detectron2, MMDetection, and PyTorch. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering/AI/ML.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant AI/ML development or computer vision experience.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ programming.
• Experience with object detection frameworks such as YOLO, Detectron2, MMDetection.
• Experience in video processing and dataset preparation.
• Familiarity with Linux development environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve computer vision and machine learning models.
• Implement object detection solutions for image and video analysis.
• Perform image processing and video frame extraction using OpenCV.
• Prepare and evaluate datasets for model training and testing.
• Develop and test AI/ML models using PyTorch or similar frameworks.
