Job summary

Tamasek Group Sdn Bhd is assembling a fresh Digital Transformation & AI Department in Pontian, Johor. The AI Systems & ERP Developer will lead the digitisation of manufacturing workflows, building an end-to-end AI-powered ERP and inventory system that automates tracking from materials to finished goods.

The role requires a degree in CS/SE/AI/DS/IT and 2–3+ years in system development or ERP customization, with hands-on experience in Python, ML, OpenCV, and full-stack development.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are expanding our operations and establishing a brand-new Digital Transformation & AI Department. We are seeking a forward-thinking, hands‑on AI Systems & ERP Developer to lead the digitisation and AI integration of our manufacturing ecosystem—transitioning legacy manual workflows into smart, automated operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and implement an end‑to‑end AI‑powered ERP and Inventory Management System tailored to company manufacturing processes.
• Digitise and automate traditional Production Flow Cards (Traveler Sheets), integrating digital tracking from raw materials to finished goods.
• Integrate computer vision, machine learning, or predictive AI models into inventory tracking, demand forecasting, stock reordering, and yield analysis.
• Evaluate current manual production, inventory, and operational processes across shop floor divisions.
• Design user-friendly digital tools, web/mobile dashboards, or barcode/QR integration to ensure easy adoption by production personnel.
• Establish seamless data connectivity between warehouse management, production scheduling, quality control, and executive reporting.
• Act as the founding technical lead for the new AI & IT Department, setting data governance standards and infrastructure strategies.
• Train and upskill internal teams (Production, Quality, Operations, and Management) to adopt new AI tools and digital workflows.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, security management, and system performance enhancements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Information Technology.
• 2–3+ years of experience in system development, ERP customization, or inventory management solutions.
• Experience with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, LLM integration, or predictive modeling frameworks.
• Full‑stack development capabilities (React/Vue/Node.js, Python/Django/FastAPI, or .NET/Java) for custom dashboard build‑outs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or cloud database management.
• Experience with barcode/RFID scanners, mobile UI, or shop‑floor sensors is an added advantage.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of converting manual/paper processes into digital systems.
• Problem‑solving mindset with clear communication skills to bridge technical capabilities with business goals.
