Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Trainer to onboard, certify, and recertify operators, and to drive cross-training to boost flexibility and process adherence.

You will work with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Safety teams to meet training KPIs, maintain documentation, and support AI-enabled learning and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in any discipline, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical, Education, or related fields.
• Experience with manufacturing training is a plus.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Train and Certify Team Members: onboarding, certification, and recertification training for new and existing staff.
• Deliver cross-training and multi-skill development programs to improve workforce flexibility.
• Monitor and verify operator competency through certification assessments and production lot verification activities.
• Provide shift-to-shift training briefings and communicate process, quality, and operational updates.
• Support workforce readiness by tracking certifications, training records, and skill matrices using systems like Workday, OTP, and TNA.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Safety teams to support production goals and continuous improvement.
• Drive operator upskilling, recertification, and capability development to maintain production efficiency and quality.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by maintaining training compliance and documentation.
• Coaching and mentoring operators on manufacturing processes, quality expectations, safety requirements, and best practices.
• Ensure all Training KPIs are met
• AI Adoption & Digital Learning: Leverage AI tools to improve training effectiveness and learning outcomes.
