Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an AGV/LGV Systems Technician to monitor and maintain automated guided vehicle systems across production areas.

You will perform start-up checks, respond to interruptions, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with vendors for parts and system enhancements.

The role requires a degree in mechatronics or related fields, 1–3 years in automation, and willingness to work shifts to support breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 1–3 years of experience in AGV/LGV systems or automation in manufacturing.
• Proficient in PLCs, sensors, control systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with SCADA and industrial protocols is a plus.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts and support breakdowns or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure smooth operation of AGV/LGV systems across production areas.
• Perform start-up checks and respond to system interruptions, blockages, or communication failures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration of sensors, navigation systems, batteries, and related components.
• Support software updates, system configuration changes, and automation improvement projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for technical support and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and participate in risk assessment activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, incident logs, and system performance reports.
