Job summary

SCIENTE is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to lead multiple Scrum teams in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will drive project delivery, ensure alignment with business objectives, and coach teams in agile practices across complex IT initiatives.

The role requires strong governance, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver end-to-end outcomes. You will work with distributed teams and leverage Jira for tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years IT experience, including 5 years as a Scrum Master and 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong experience managing multiple Agile teams and complex IT projects.
• Proficiency in Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
• PM/PRINCE2/SAFe/Scrum Master certifications.
• Hands-on Jira, Jira Plans, and Jira Dashboards.
• Experience in budgeting, risk management and end-to-end delivery.
• Stakeholder management, leadership, and vendor mgmt skills.
• Ability to turn around challenging projects and lead distributed teams.
• Advanced Agile certs (A-CSM, PSM II, SAFe Agilist) a plus.
• Experience with Power BI or AI tools for tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Scrum practices across multiple agile teams.
• Track iteration health, identify and remove impediments, drive continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple projects end-to-end, aligning technical and non-technical teams for on-time delivery.
• Plan and manage scope, schedule, resources and budget; manage changes formally.
• Monitor delivery across Plan, Build and Run stages.
• Identify risks and define mitigation strategies; elevate when needed.
• Shape business objectives with senior management and influence stakeholders.
• Drive teams to deliver business value with sponsors.
• Liaise with business, IT, operations and vendors; host stakeholder meetings.
• Prepare status reports and executive communications; manage escalations.
• Support rollout of projects across organisation markets.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure commitments.
• Deliver project closure docs and share lessons learned.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field;


• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including 5 years as a Scrum Master and 2 years in a senior role;


• Strong experience managing multiple Agile teams, complex IT projects, and Agile transformations;


• Proficiency in Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies;


• Professional project management and Agile certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or Scrum Master);


• Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira Plans, and Jira Dashboards;


• Proven expertise in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and end-to-end delivery;


• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and vendor management skills;


• Proven ability to turn around challenging projects, resolve team impediments, and lead distributed teams successfully.


• Advanced degree/Master's degree is a plus;


• Advanced Agile certifications such as A-CSM, PSM II, or SAFe Agilist;


• Experience with Power BI or AI tools for project tracking, reporting, and insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Scrum practices across multiple agile teams, coaching members in agile methodologies, processes and practices;


• Track iteration health and throughput, identify and remove team impediments, and drive continuous improvement in team performance and delivery quality;


• Manage several projects end to end at the same time, steering both technical and non-technical teams toward on-time delivery;


• Plan and manage project scope, schedule, resources and budget in line with company policy, and control change through formal change management;


• Monitor and control delivery across the Plan, Build and Run stages;


• Identify project risks early, define mitigation strategies, track them to closure and elevate where needed;


• Work with senior management to shape business objectives, scope and priorities, and influence peers, stakeholders and leaders toward sound decisions;


• Drive technical teams to deliver business value with stakeholders and the project sponsor;


• Liaise with business, IT, operations and vendor partners, and host regular stakeholder meetings;


• Prepare clear project status reports and presentations, and manage senior-level communications, updates and escalations;


• Support the rollout of projects and programmes across all organisation markets;


• Manage vendor and service provider relationships to ensure delivery against agreed commitments;


• Deliver project completion documentation, conduct post-project evaluations and share lessons learned with the wider data team.
