Job summary

Silver Jubilee Home For the Aged in Penang seeks a Carer cum General Worker to provide nursing and personal care support to residents in an aged care setting. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, and daily activities, and help maintain clean living areas.

You will monitor residents, document observations, report changes to the Head of Department, and accompany residents to medical appointments while following infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting and feeding.
• Maintain healthcare records / reports as directed by the Head of Department.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting and feeding
• Maintain cleanliness of assisted living, bathrooms and common areas
• Help residents with mobility, transfers and comfort positioning
• Support Head of Department by reporting changes in residents' condition
• Accompany residents to hospital / clinic appointment when required
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Monitor, report and record symptoms and basic observations
• Maintain healthcare records / reports as directed by the Head of Department
• Alert Head of Department for emergency
