Job Summary
Sekolah Sri UCSI is seeking a caring, dedicated, and passionate Agama & Early Years Curriculum (EYC) Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing young learners through age-appropriate Islamic education and early childhood learning experiences. This role focuses on developing students’ moral values, foundational knowledge, social skills, and love for learning within a warm, supportive, and values-based school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Agama (Islamic Studies) and Early Years Curriculum (EYC) lessons in line with the school’s curriculum framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports young children’s holistic development.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning activities that promote moral values, basic Islamic knowledge, early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Foster positive behaviour, good manners, and character development based on Islamic values.
- Use play-based, inquiry-based, and hands-on learning approaches suitable for early years learners.
- Observe, monitor, and assess students’ development and learning progress; provide constructive feedback to parents and guardians.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse developmental and learning needs of young children.
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and reports.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding students’ progress, behaviour, and well-being.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, co-curricular activities, and professional development programmes.
- Uphold the vision, mission, and values of Sekolah Sri UCSI, supporting students’ spiritual, emotional, and social well-being.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Islamic Studies, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Education, Early Childhood Education certification, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Agama and/or Early Years education (preferred).
- Good knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, nurture, and motivate young learners.
- Passion for working with children and commitment to values-based education.
- Willingness to continuously improve teaching skills through professional development.
