The ideal candidate has strong automotive after-sales experience, proven leadership, and a track record in workshop operations. EV or automotive dealership exposure is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in automotive or related field.
• Min 5 years in automotive after-sales, with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of workshop, service, parts and warranty operations.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the After Sales Department including Service, Parts and Warranty operations.

• Develop and monitor KPI, productivity, revenue and CSI targets.
• Handle warranty claims and documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales to strengthen after-sales opportunities.

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven After Sales Manager to join BYD Denver Auto Sdn. Bhd. in Perai, Penang.

The After Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall After Sales operations, including Service, Parts and Warranty, while leading the team to achieve operational, financial and customer satisfaction targets.

The ideal candidate should have strong automotive after-sales experience, excellent leadership skills and a strong understanding of workshop operations. Experience in the EV or automotive dealership environment will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the overall After Sales Department, including Service, Parts and Warranty operations.
• Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure smooth workflow, productivity and efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop Service Advisors, Technicians, Warranty and Parts personnel.
• Set and monitor departmental KPI, productivity, revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
• Monitor workshop performance, technician productivity, repair turnaround time and workshop capacity.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired according to BYD standards, manufacturer specifications and company SOPs.
• Monitor and ensure proper handling of warranty claims, technical cases and warranty documentation.
• Manage Parts availability, inventory control and parts utilisation in collaboration with the Parts team.
• Drive improvements in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and customer retention.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up until closure.
• Analyse After Sales performance reports and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve departmental performance and profitability.
• Work closely with the Sales Department to strengthen customer retention and after-sales business opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, BYD standards, safety requirements and relevant regulations.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused and high-performing service centre environment.
• Prepare and submit regular operational and performance reports to management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automotive after-sales operations, preferably with managerial or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive workshop, service, parts and warranty operations.
• Proven experience in managing and achieving departmental KPIs.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to interpret operational and performance reports.
• Able to work independently as well as lead a team effectively.
• Experience with BYD, EVs or other automotive brands will be an added advantage.
